No need to grow your own bail, let Spicy Chicks Gourmet Basil Pesto be the star of your Caprese Salad…plus you’ll have plenty of leftover seasoned olive oil that will last for 3 months in the refrigerator!
Ingredients
- Fresh Tomatoes
- Fresh Mozzarella
- Balsamic Glaze (*Optional)
- Salt & Pepper (*Optional)
- 1 cup Pure Olive Oil (*Note Extra Virgin, Need a Neutral Flavored Oil)
- Spicy Chicks Gourmet Basil Pesto Olive Oil Blend Seasoning Mix
Instructions
- Slice the Tomatoes
- Slice the Fresh Mozzarella
In a Bowl or Jar: - Add Spicy Chicks Gourmet Basil Pesto Olive Oil Blend Seasoning Mix (*Note: Our Basil Pesto Does NOT Contain Nuts nor Parmesan Cheese)
- Add ¼ cup of HOT Water to Seasoning Mix
- Let Sit for 5 minutes (This will Hydrate the Seasonings)
- Stir in 1 cup of Olive Oil
- Set Aside
- Drizzle the Balsamic Glaze over the Serving Plate (*Optional)
- Arrange the Tomato Slices and the Sliced Mozzarella in an Alternating Pattern
- Top the Tomatoes & Mozzarella with the Seasoned Olive Oil (store any leftover Olive Oil in the Refrigerator. The oil will last for 3 months.)
- Sprinkle a Little Salt & Pepper over the Top
- Serve & Enjoy!
